Renick Brothers is performing the duct intensive HVAC system of the 5 story, 200,000 sq. ft. Industrial Scientific Global Headquarters facility which includes office, manufacturing, laboratory and research space located in Oakdale, PA. The on-time installation was critical to the project’s success. . By utilizing BIM modeling, Renick was able to coordinate all of the various systems within the building, allowing for prefabrication of the duct system. Hanger inserts were installed prior to concrete pours utilizing the BIM model and Trimble Total Station technology. This combination of ready and waiting ductwork and preinstalled hanger points means that as soon as each floor is ready, the duct installation begins, helping to keep the entire project on schedule.
