Renick Brothers is performing the HVAC and Plumbing for the General Contractor on this 180,000 sq. ft. sports and healthcare facility, located in Cranberry Twp., PA. The building houses two ice rinks, including what will be the new practice facility for the Pittsburgh Penguins, as well as locker facilities, public spaces and medical offices. Renick Brothers serves as the lead contractor for the BIM effort on the project. By utilizing the BIM model and Trimble Total Station technology, the underground plumbing for the project was prefabricated in our shop before a footer was ever in place. When the site was ready to accept the underground, it was able to be installed quickly and accurately with the Total Station robot to meet the demanding field schedule.
